Coal — prime hard coking coal and 6,200 kcal/kg thermal coal, re-exported with certified proximate analysis
Coal is a re-export line for Egypt Globe Group: prime hard coking coal of Australian and US origin and thermal coal of South African, Colombian and Indonesian origin, routed through Egyptian deep-water ports to steelworks, cement kilns and power plants. A coke-oven operator pays for volatile matter and swelling index, a boiler operator for calorific value, ash and sulphur — and both buy on a certificate, because no one can assay a Panamax hold on the quay.
The division supplies Coking Coal Hard Prime Grade (VM 20–22 %, CSN ≥ 7, low sulphur) and Thermal Coal 6,200 kcal/kg (sulphur ≤ 1 %, ash ≤ 12 %). Coal is where regional traders most often substitute a blended stockpile for the contracted grade. Egypt Globe Group's QA division, in place since the group was founded, accepts inbound cargo only against the origin certificate plus its own arrival composite, and the port laboratory issues a per-lot CoA before the B/L; a lot missing the contracted calorific value or sulphur ceiling is rejected at the loading port.
