The chartering and freight desk sits in the New Damietta operations office, alongside the port QC teams, so the vessel fixture and the specification gate are managed by the same people.
Freight is where supply-chain risk concentrates: a missed laycan, an unclear SOF or a cargo loaded before the laboratory releases the lot turns a commercial contract into a dispute. EGG's logistics model is built around laycan discipline with documented NOR / SOF, a specification that is guaranteed at the port of loading and binding under the sales contract, and voyage condition governed by the B/L and marine insurance. No lot is loaded before the per-lot CoA / Mill Test Certificate is issued by the port laboratory.
