Rock salt from the Siwa Oasis and the Qattara Depression — halite beds laid down more than thirty million years ago, delivering a guaranteed minimum 97% NaCl with low calcium, magnesium and insolubles. It is the feedstock behind our food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chlor-alkali grades, and the origin point of the Salt division — the first of our seven commodity divisions.

Sea salt at industrial scale from the Bardawil and El-Arish pans.

Solar-evaporated sea salt from North Sinai (the Bardawil lagoon and El-Arish coast) and the Red Sea pans at Ain Sokhna — raw 94–97%, washed 97.5–98% and double-washed 99%+. Screened to EN 16811-1 Type 1 / Type 2 road-salt gradings, ASTM D632 / AASHTO M-143 for North America, BS 3247 for the UK and GOST 13830 for CIS tenders. Kiln-dried or natural moisture, anti-caking E535 on request — the high-capacity source behind our de-icing and industrial grades.

Rock salt from Siwa and Qattara runs east to El Dekheila, Alexandria and Damietta; Sinai sea salt loads at Port Said East, Damietta and Al-Arish, with Ain Sokhna serving the Red Sea lanes. Our own stevedoring, vessel-agency and documentation teams work the berths — the same terminals that load our Construction (cement & clinker), Fertilizers and Industrial Minerals divisions.

FOB, CIF or CFR — Handysize to Panamax bulk, or containerised FIBC. Chlor-alkali and PVC plants in Europe and India, municipal water-treatment utilities across the Gulf and Africa, highway agencies in the UK, the Nordics and North America. Alongside salt, the same export desk ships cement, urea and NPK, caustic soda and soda ash, silica sand, steel and edible oils — one counterparty, seven divisions, twenty per cent of world seaborne trade passing our front door.
