Cosmetic-grade sea salt — ISO 22716 / REACH skin-contact salt for bath, spa and mineral blends
Cosmetic salt is specified on purity, crystal form and a heavy-metal panel that cosmetic regulations treat as a safety parameter rather than a quality one. Egypt Globe Group supplies four SKUs, all from North Sinai (El-Arish / Bardawil) and Red Sea (Ain Sokhna) sea salt, vacuum-evaporated or double-washed to ≥ 99 % NaCl with Ca + Mg ≤ 0.2 %, insolubles ≤ 0.05 % and moisture ≤ 0.1 %: cosmetic fine (0.3–1 mm) for scrubs and bath-salt bases, cosmetic coarse (3–5 mm) for bath crystals, a spa exfoliant coarse cut (3–6 mm), and a Dead Sea-style mineral bath blend formulated to ≥ 88 % NaCl with elevated Mg, Ca and sulphate for thalassotherapy products. Siwa / Qattara rock salt is available as a cosmetic coarse on request, but the standard range is sea salt.
Production is under ISO 22716 (cosmetics GMP), with EU REACH registration and Halal certification; every lot is heavy-metal tested by ICP-MS. Packing runs from 500 g and 1 kg private-label packs through 25 kg and 50 kg bags to 1 MT FIBC and bulk, 240 MT containerised minimum, 3–6 weeks lead time. Contract manufacturers that have sourced from inconsistent regional suppliers know the audit failure: a lot whose CoA reads clean but whose colour and grain drift from the approved sample. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division has operated since incorporation in 2014, with retained reference samples per lot; specification is guaranteed at the port of loading and binding under the sales contract, and a lot outside its CoA is rejected at the port, never re-graded.
