Pool and water-softener salt — NSF/ANSI 60 sodium chloride for chlorinators and ion-exchange regeneration
Salt-chlorine generators and ion-exchange softeners both fail on the same impurities: calcium and magnesium scale the electrolytic cell or foul the resin, sulphate and insolubles build sludge in the brine tank, and iron stains. Pool-grade salt is therefore specified at ≥ 99 % NaCl with Ca + Mg held below 0.15 %, insolubles below 0.05 %, and no iodine or anti-caking additive. Egypt Globe Group supplies four SKUs certified to NSF/ANSI 60 for drinking-water treatment chemicals: vacuum-evaporated North Sinai / Red Sea sea salt as medium-grain pool salt, ion-exchange crystal and compacted softener pellets, and Siwa / Qattara rock salt as a coarse pool grade at ≥ 99 % NaCl with naturally low Ca and Mg.
Supply runs from 10 kg and 25 kg retail bags through 50 kg bags and 1 MT FIBC to bulk vessel, 240 MT containerised minimum, 2–3 weeks lead time. Distributors who have stocked inconsistent regional product know the consequence: a pallet that cakes in the warehouse or a lot that leaves a white ring in the cell. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division has operated since incorporation in 2014; specification is guaranteed at the port of loading and binding under the sales contract, and a lot outside its CoA is rejected at the port, never re-graded.
