Talc — Eastern Desert and Aswan talc in cosmetic, pharma and plastic-filler grades
Talc, Mg₃Si₄O₁₀(OH)₂, is the softest industrial mineral and is bought on three things: particle size, whiteness and the absence of asbestiform minerals. A polypropylene compounder wants a 3–10 µm lamellar filler that raises stiffness; a cosmetics or pharmaceutical formulator wants a pharmacopoeial-grade powder with documented asbestos-free status; a paint or paper mill wants brightness and oil absorption. Egypt's Eastern Desert and Aswan talc bodies supply all three, supplemented by Indian material where required.
Egypt Globe Group supplies three lines: Talc Powder — Cosmetic Grade from the Eastern Desert, Talc Powder Cosmetic Grade (Aswan / India, ≥ 99 % whiteness, for cosmetics and pharma, supplied with cosmetic-grade and REACH documentation) and Talc Industrial Grade Plastic Filler, a 3–10 µm grade for PP automotive parts and cable filler. A regional supplier's talc CoA often describes the deposit, not the lot. Egypt Globe Group's QA division, built in since incorporation, measures particle size and whiteness on every export lot and holds the asbestos screen on file before the B/L; lots outside the contracted CoA are rejected at the loading port.
