Processed Foods — IQF strawberries and vegetables, canned ful medames and durum pasta from Egyptian plants
Egypt is the world's largest exporter of frozen strawberries and a leading supplier of IQF vegetables to Europe and the Gulf; Beheira, Ismailia and Qalyubia feed BRC-certified IQF plants that freeze within hours of harvest. Egypt Globe Group supplies IQF strawberries (whole, sliced, diced), IQF vegetable mixes, canned fava beans (ful medames) in 400 g and 800 g tins, and durum semolina spaghetti in 500 g retail packs, with juices, concentrates and pickled lines on request.
Processed-food claims arise from broken cold chain, under-sterilised cans, pathogens and label non-compliance. The Quality Assurance division verifies core temperature, Brix, microbiology and net weight per lot at the port cold-store or warehouse and issues the CoA before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the contracted CoA are rejected at the loading port.
