Egypt is one of the largest vegetable-oil importers in the Mediterranean basin: domestic crushing and refining in Alexandria, Suez and 10th of Ramadan covers a minority of consumption, and the balance arrives as crude sunflower oil from the Black Sea, crude palm oil from Malaysia and Indonesia and RBD soybean oil from Argentina and Brazil. Egypt Globe Group trades all three origins into and through Egypt, and supplies Egyptian-bottled RBD sunflower oil in 1 L and 5 L PET for retail programmes in the Gulf and Africa. Egyptian extra virgin olive oil is offered seasonally on request.
Oil quality degrades from the moment it leaves the refinery: free fatty acid rises, peroxide value climbs with oxygen and heat, and a mis-cleaned ISO tank or flexitank contaminates the whole parcel. Egypt Globe Group controls these variables with FOSFA-compliant tank cleanliness certificates, nitrogen blanketing where contracted, and a port-laboratory CoA (FFA, PV, moisture, colour) issued before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the contracted CoA are rejected at the loading port.
