Sugar — ICUMSA 45 refined white, VHP raw cane and 48 % TRS molasses under ICUMSA-method CoA
Egypt refines beet sugar in the Delta and cane sugar in Upper Egypt and is a structural net importer of raw sugar for its refineries. Egypt Globe Group supplies refined white crystal sugar ICUMSA ≤ 45 from Egyptian, EU and Brazilian refineries; VHP raw cane sugar ICUMSA 800–1200 from Brazil and Thailand for refinery feed; and cane molasses ≥ 48 % total reducing sugars from Brazil and Egypt for fermentation and feed. Plantation white ICUMSA ≤ 150 is offered on request.
Sugar contracts fail on colour, moisture and polarisation drift between the refinery certificate and the loaded cargo. The port laboratory re-tests every lot against the ICUMSA Methods Book before the Bill of Lading, bagged cargo is weighed and sealed under independent supervision, and lots outside the contracted CoA are rejected at the loading port.
