Coffee & Cocoa — Grade 1 fermented cocoa beans and Grade 1 natural robusta from African origin partners

Egypt grows neither coffee nor cocoa, but its Suez Canal ports and bonded zones make it a re-export hub between African origins and buyers in the Gulf, the Levant and the Mediterranean. Egypt Globe Group sources main-crop fermented cocoa beans from Ivory Coast and Ghana and natural-process robusta green coffee from Ethiopia, Uganda and Ivory Coast, grades them at origin under ICO / ICCO rules and ships from Alexandria, Damietta and Port Said East in 25 kg or 60–65 kg jute bags or bulk container liners.

Coffee and cocoa claims arise from moisture above 12 % / 7.5 %, mould, slaty or insect-damaged beans, and off-odours absorbed in transit. The Quality Assurance division cut-tests and screens every lot at the port, checks bag condition and container lining, and issues the CoA before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the contracted grade are rejected at the loading port, never re-graded.
