Oilseeds — Egyptian sesame and peanuts, sunflower seed, rapeseed and non-GMO soybean with oil-content and aflatoxin CoA
Upper Egypt grows one of the Mediterranean's cleanest white sesame crops and the Delta governorates of Sharqia and Beheira produce Spanish- and Virginia-type peanuts; both are harvested September–November and exported hulled, natural or blanched to tahini, confectionery and snack manufacturers. Egypt Globe Group complements these Egyptian lines with crushing-grade sunflower seed, canola-quality rapeseed and non-GMO soybean from the Black Sea, Canada, the EU and South America.
The risk in oilseeds is aflatoxin — an EU rejection of a peanut container costs the full parcel — followed by oil-content shortfall and admixture. The Quality Assurance division runs aflatoxin by HPLC on every lot of peanuts and sesame, measures oil content by Soxhlet or NMR, and issues the CoA before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the contracted CoA are rejected at the loading port.
