Paper & cardboard — packaging fibre graded to ISRI and EN 643
Corrugated packaging is a fibre-recovery business: board mills in Egypt, Turkey, the Gulf and South Asia run on old corrugated containers, topped with virgin kraft liner where burst and ring-crush strength demand it. Egypt Globe Group supplies both inputs: OCC ISRI grade 11 from Egyptian, EU and US collection streams, and virgin kraft liner 125 gsm natural from Scandinavian and South American mills, each with a mill or inspection certificate.
Recovered paper fails on what is inside the bale: moisture sold as fibre, plastics and waxed board that the pulper cannot accept, and mixed grades baled as OCC. A mill that pays for 100 MT and pulps 85 MT of usable fibre has lost the margin on the order. Many traders ship on the collector's declaration. EGG's QA division opens and weighs sample bales at the yard and at the port, determines moisture and prohibitive content, and issues an inspection certificate before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the ISRI grade definition are rejected at the loading port, never re-graded into a mixed-paper contract.
