Egyptian granite & marble — quarry-selected blocks, laboratory-tested slabs

Egypt has quarried dimension stone continuously for five thousand years: the red and pink granites of Aswan, the cream and beige marbles of the Galala range in the Eastern Desert, the pearl-spotted marbles of Sinai and the warm limestones of the Suez coast. Egypt Globe Group supplies the current commercial varieties from these quarries as blocks, slabs and cut tiles: Galala Cream, Sinai Pearl (also 2 cm polished slabs 240 × 120 cm and Grade A tiles), Sunny Yellow, Rosa Aswan granite (also A-quality blocks ≥ 2 m³, no cracks and polished Aswan granite blocks) and Crema Sahara limestone tiles 40 × 40 cm.

Dimension stone fails on what the eye cannot see at the quarry: a hairline fracture that opens on the gang-saw, a colour band that drifts across a 500 m² lobby order, water absorption that stains a façade. Consistency between the approved sample and the shipped lot is the whole contract. EGG's QA division tags every block at the quarry, matches slab colour and veining against the approved control sample under standard light, and tests density, absorption, compressive and flexural strength at the port laboratory to the EN 12058 / EN 1469 series before the Bill of Lading. Lots outside the approved range are rejected at the loading port.
