Egypt is the transhipment hub between Gulf methanol and petrochemical producers and the Mediterranean, African and South Asian markets, and its own chlor-alkali and phosphate complexes produce hydrochloric and sulphuric acid. Egypt Globe Group supplies methanol 99.85 % technical grade from Saudi, Iranian and UAE producers and acetone 99.5 % from Chinese, Korean and EU sources by re-export through Alexandria, Damietta and Ain Sokhna, alongside Egyptian-origin sulphuric acid 98 % and hydrochloric acid 35 %. Isopropanol, MEK, toluene, xylene, nitric, phosphoric and acetic acid are quoted on request under the same QA regime.
Solvent cargoes are contaminated rather than adulterated: water pick-up, residue from a previous tank parcel, colour drift that fails a buyer's Pt-Co limit. Many regional traders ship on the origin certificate without re-testing after transhipment. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division, at the nucleus of the group since 2014, samples every ISO tank and tanker compartment at the loading port, runs purity, water, colour and density and issues the CoA before the B/L. Lots outside specification are rejected at the port, never re-graded or renegotiated.
