Egypt's tyre, footwear, hose, belting and sports-surface industries import their elastomers, and Egypt Globe Group serves them and re-export buyers in the Mediterranean, Gulf and East Africa from Alexandria, Damietta and Ain Sokhna. The catalogue carries natural rubber RSS3 (ribbed smoked sheet) from Thai and Malaysian producers and EPDM rubber granules 1–4 mm for playground and sports surfaces from Dutch and Chinese producers; finished resin, masterbatch and SBR / NBR compounds are supplied on request alongside the polymers range.
Rubber is graded visually and physically, which is why lot-to-lot inconsistency is common: RSS3 bales with more dirt or mould than the Green Book grade allows, EPDM granules with off-size fines or low rubber content. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division, at the nucleus of the group since 2014, tests every lot at the loading port and issues the CoA before the B/L. A lot outside specification is rejected at the port, never re-graded or renegotiated.
