Egypt's refineries at Alexandria, Suez and Mostorod and its Mediterranean and Red Sea bunkering positions make the country a regional supply point for marine fuel, gas oil and lubricant base stocks. Egypt Globe Group supplies marine fuel oil MFO 380 cSt (ISO 8217 RMG 380) from Alexandria and UAE sources, EN 590 10 ppm diesel from Egyptian, UAE and Russian refineries, and Group I base oil SN 150 (VI ≥ 90) for lubricant blending, by parcel tanker from Alexandria and Ain Sokhna and by ISO tank from Damietta. Gas oil 180 cSt, jet A-1 and other cuts are quoted on request.
Fuel cargoes are disputed on quantity and on off-spec parameters — density, sulphur, water, flash point — and many regional traders settle both on the supplier's own figures. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division, at the nucleus of the group since 2014, runs the port-laboratory assay on every parcel before the B/L and appoints an independent surveyor for quantity and quality on every lift. Specification is guaranteed at the port of loading and binding under the sales contract; an off-spec parcel is rejected at the port, never re-graded or renegotiated.
