Zinc & Lead — special high-grade zinc ≥ 99.995 % and soft lead 99.97 % ingots for galvanising and batteries
Zinc and lead are bought on purity to the third decimal. A galvaniser charges special high-grade zinc because lead and cadmium above a few thousandths of a percent change the coating; a battery plant charges soft lead because bismuth, antimony and copper at tens of ppm change grid corrosion and gassing. Egypt Globe Group supplies SHG zinc from Chinese and Australian smelters and soft lead from Australian and Indian refineries, consolidated through Egyptian ports for galvanising lines, die-casters, battery makers and cable sheathing plants in the Mediterranean, Gulf, East Africa and South Asia.
The catalogue lines are Zinc Ingots SHG 99.995 % (LME certificate and chemical analysis per lot, for galvanising) and Lead Ingots Soft 99.97 % (chemical analysis and RoHS documentation, for battery manufacturers). Off-brand remelt ingot sold as primary is the regional failure. Egypt Globe Group's QA division, built in since incorporation, verifies brand marking and spectrographic chemistry on every lot at the port before the Bill of Lading; a lot that does not match its certificate is rejected at the loading port.
