Egyptian sulphur is recovered from natural-gas processing and refinery sulphur-recovery units along the Gulf of Suez and the Delta and exported through Adabiya, Ain Sokhna and Damietta. Egypt Globe Group supplies three grades — bright-yellow granular ≥ 99.9 % S for sulphuric-acid plants, prilled ≥ 99.8 % S for Asian acid plants and blending, and lump ≥ 99.5 % S for mining and refinery use — in bulk vessels, 1 MT FIBC and 25 kg PP bags.
Acid plants specify sulphur on three numbers: purity, ash and acidity. Ash above 0.05 % fouls burners and catalyst beds; acidity corrodes melters and handling lines; moisture above 0.5 % raises dust and handling losses. Many regional suppliers certify purity alone. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division, at the nucleus of the group since 2014, runs purity, ash, acidity, moisture and sieve analysis on every lot at the loading port and issues the CoA before the B/L. Lots outside specification are rejected at the port — never re-graded, never renegotiated.
