Potash — MOP and SOP re-exported under Egyptian port QA

Egypt does not produce potash domestically. Egypt Globe Group supplies muriate of potash (MOP, 60 % K₂O) and sulphate of potash (SOP, 50 % K₂O + 17 % S) by re-export from Russian, Belarusian and Canadian mines and premium SOP producers, routed through Damietta, Alexandria and Adabiya. The Egyptian leg adds consolidation and control: potash can be combined with Egyptian urea, phosphate and sulphur on one vessel or one L/C, and every lot passes the same port-laboratory gate as domestic production before the B/L.

Re-exported potash carries a specific risk — product that left the mine in specification arrives at the transhipment port with moisture pick-up, caking or fines, and the mine CoA no longer describes the cargo. Many traders forward the mine certificate regardless. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division, part of the group since its 2014 incorporation, re-samples every lot on arrival and at loading, analyses K₂O, chloride, moisture and sieve fraction and issues a fresh CoA. A lot outside specification is rejected at the loading port, never re-graded or renegotiated.
