Egypt holds sedimentary phosphate along the Red Sea coast (Safaga – Quseir belt), in the Nile Valley and at Abu Tartur in the Western Desert, and is one of the few African producers that both exports rock and converts it into superphosphate. Egypt Globe Group supplies run-of-mine and ground rock at 28–30 % P₂O₅ (up to 68 % BPL from Safaga) to acid and fertilizer plants, and granular SSP 18 % P₂O₅ and TSP 46 % P₂O₅ to importers and blenders, from Damietta, Alexandria, El Dekheila, Ain Sokhna and Adabiya.
Phosphate contracts settle on P₂O₅, and P₂O₅ is where lot-to-lot drift costs most: a rock cargo one point under grade changes acid-plant economics; a TSP lot with low water-soluble P₂O₅ underperforms in the field. Many regional exporters rely on a single mine certificate. Egypt Globe Group's Quality Assurance division — at the nucleus of the group since 2014 — re-samples every lot at the loading port, runs P₂O₅, moisture and sieve analysis in the port laboratory and issues the CoA before the B/L. A lot outside specification is rejected at the port, never re-graded or renegotiated.
